The highest reward for a person's work is not what they get for it, but what they become because of it. - John Ruskin

Hi.  My name is Becky Vaughn and I am on the Humane Society of Forsyth County Volunteer Welcome Team.

Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering with the Humane Society of Forsyth County.  Our next volunteer orientation will be Saturday September 27th, 2008, at 12:00 Noon. We are located at 4440 Keith Bridge Road, Cumming, GA 30041. Please print a copy of the volunteer application that is currently online and bring it with you. We do require that if you are under the age of 18 that you are always accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is for liability reasons.

If you wish to volunteer prior to attending Volunteer Orientation, you may volunteer during adoption hours, Monday through Friday 2-5 pm and Saturday/Sunday 12-3 pm.  You should pick up a volunteer instruction sheet at the shelter when arriving.  In addition, information regarding our upcoming events such as adoptions can be found at Upcoming Events.

We also urge you to attend our monthly volunteer meetings at:

Northside Hospital Forsyth

1200 Baptist Medical Center Drive

Cumming, GA 30040, at 7:00 pm, on the 3rd Thursday of the month.

If you have any questions regarding volunteering prior to the next orientation.

We encourage our volunteers to become official, card carrying Humane Society of Forsyth County members!  Funds to support the HSFC are desperately needed. We are not funded by local and state government funds and exist only because of the generosity of those who choose to donate to our cause. For further information to become a member, you can visit Memberships.

If you have any questions about the upcoming volunteer orientation, please contact me, Becky Vaughn, at beckyforsythco@bellsouth.net

Thank you!!!
